The Importance of Entropy

The modern definition of entropy was laid out in 1877 by a physicist named Ludwig Boltzmann. In only 25 ways to get nine, there are only three ways to get a four and only one way to get a three. There's a much larger amount of entropy associated with the mixed macrostate as the separated macrostate. This is why he explains nature tends to move from separated coffee and cream to mixed coffee cream.
