The Chiefs were in debt to about $650,000 at the start of 2012. The club had been chucked out of the work at O stadium as a training venue because it couldn't pay the rent. They used an empty meat warehouse there that could be converted into a clubhouse. We found stewnoms opened up some milking sheds that were full of whiteboards and they were full of desk space. So on a shoestring budget, we would give the players off- Wednesday days so they would paint walls where the teacher made a wivescameraman. It's important to have those debates because you've got smart people all their own ideas. You'd be silly not to talk
