What Do Light Cones Have to Do With the Universe?

Light cones are simple if the universe is not bent. They get more complicated when space bends. If you are near something massive, like a black hole or a star your light cone bends because the path that light takes also bends. So the things you can influence change. And so everything you can influence, we call that part of your light cone rit or breakfast cone - which sounds like scrambled egg flavored ice cream.
