Doric music is what he's putting as a contrast, an apollonian sort of music in contrast to the dionysian music that came later. So it doesn't have any harmony in it. It's very sedate. You picture the guy with the lyre or the flute just doing, you know, this is omusic that we're just all sitting around andnd. The final stage of that is the attic, attic tragedy.
