Is There a Cause or a Determinism?

Even if you couldn't predict what the microscopic object was, or character, whatever, was going to do from the behaviour of the particles, wouldn't all the input still be causal? We don't live in this universe. One possibility that i've pulled out of a hat at some point, like ten years ago or something, is that you can have a kind of an information reservoir that doesn't reside inside of time.
