The Sixth Killing of a Young Black Female in Washington, DC
Four out of the six victims shared the same middle name, Denise. Dr Sheldon Freud believed the killer was deliberately seeking out young girls associated with the name Denise and warned them to be careful. Police Inspector Mayland Pitts dismissed the theory, stating that the Denise connection was nothing more than sheer coincidence. The police were working hard to solve the murders, but had no leads,. It is uncertain how many perpetrators were involved.
