The magnitude and volatility of this labor implosion make it even harder than usual to measure the true unemployment rate. There's some particular problems because we're asking questions that we don't normally have to ask, like are you employed, but staying home because you've been exposed to the corona virus? That's not a question that was ever on the survey before. And so there are certainly some problems just with how do we code those things....
