Databricks: Acquisition for $1.3 Billion

Charlie and Ted celebrate show #150 by talking with Rony about Augmedics' big raise for its X-vision AR wearable that uses a patient's skin as a projection surface. Also, Google kills its AR project "Iris" (again), and Pokemon Go producer Niantic's layoffs. Our guests are David Ganek and Joel Newton, who co-founded City Lights, a VR Studio that finances, produces and distributes VR Experiences like "Spheres." They share details about their newest production "Yosemite," which uses photogrammetry to capture impossible spatial views of the park, coupled with its greatest stories.
