Hugh Everett's version of quantum mechanics is just obeying the laws of physics. He says if you obey the Schrodinger equation that's what happens, no ifs, ands, or buts. The problem is it looks like you would be in a superposition of having seen two different things. So miraculously Everett got it right despite the fact that in some sense he had no right to.
