Drug Problems - How to Deal With Them

Prisoners with a heroine problem are prescribed an opioid substitute by doctors to help them battle their ediction. But instead of using it to wean themselves off the drug, they often give it to other inmates who are looking to get high. Addressing these is key in stopping them re offending. It's actually as an alternative to disciplinary antion that we try to motivate em to deal with the drug problem. We have a number of prisoners who are receiving legal drubs and then they hand it on - which is obviously illegal. So that's a hard problem to address.
