The Importance of Right to Choose

I spent three hours staring at the wall thinking about ending my life, not just thinking about it planning. I knew that if I went to the doctor for referral, it would be a four to five year waiting list. There are people in the UK where right to choose does not exist. So they don't have that option of saying, well, actually, I can get a six month assessment rather than five years. It's only because the waiting times are so long that people have to do that. And I'm not against private diagnoses or private services. But you can't get access to services through the NHS and people are desperate and there's no other.
