The History of Gauchos

European settlers from the Iberian Peninsula brought their livestock with them when they colonized South America. The uninhabited, unclaimed wild areas of the pompous became home to just vast herds of feral European cattle and horses. There's no lions down there, no big predators, just rolling green oceans of free meat walking around.
