The three pillars of breath are biomechanics, biochemistry, and cadence. Breathing is the only way to influence the actual pH of your system. An alkaline diet can be valuable from respect to increasing mineral consumption but it's not going to alkalize you. Your inhale is the breath of excitation. I want to be a calm, take a breath out.
