The Importance of Access to Transit
Rural transit is sometimes the decider for whether some Americans are able to thrive or not. When I was mayor in South Bend, Indiana, that's a city of 100,000. That means it's big enough to have a bus system, but not dense enough to be very frequent. Technology like Uber and Lyft can provide more rides on demand for people who need them at a lower cost to the system.
