Frida Ghitis: There is a sense of, when I was on Catholic stuff, we did a podcast on gluttony. We called it the gateway advice. It's like, this is, this leads to other ones and there is something to say for a certain. She says men going into war would fast before the war because it honed them. They wouldn't keep the clear headed if they didn't feast in ways that were conducive to spiritual growth.Ghitis: The Eastern fathers are very emphatic that we need to address these things before they're even sin,. Like address them while they're at the level of thought.
