Government and military have been responsible for advancement in a lot of the things that we know today as kind of modern data management or even artificial intelligence. The very first programmable computer was the one at Blessley Park called the Colossus, which was completely secret for the next like 40 years. IBM benefited from what I would now call it the military industrial complex. And so there's really an intimate role between data and computing, but also data computing and this sort of history of martial concerns that were really driving the problem towards innovation.
