Surrogacy Negotiation Processes
It's crucial to acknowledge that much of this discussion is mediated through surrogate decision makers who have their own hopes and values. Negotiation processes have a lot more to do with perceptions of the surrogates than with the wishes of the patient themselves. With the therapeutic alliance in place, we can work together. And there will be some give and take.
