Chester: Modern science is sustained by an attitude of wondering at the most obvious. Chester obviously relies on the masculine side of universality and its constitutive exception. He says that all attempts to break out of metaphysics, from Kierkegaard to Marx, remain within the horizon of the forgetting of being. The search for a post-metaphysical way of thinking presupposes the violent gesture of universalization, he adds.
