Micky adams offered him his first pro contract when he was just 17. He had to live at a lodge because of the cost of living upstairs. The assistant manager, who was allan cork, looked after me and guided my transition from not boys football into men's foot whln. Micky got a lock of petral allowance put into his first pro deal - it wasn't an extra amount but in contractors' pay. But i thank micky for getting me through that whole transition period. It wouldn't have happened without him.
