The Fundamental Determinants of Intelligence Are Mostly Located in the Data or in the Algorithm?
It's not clear whether the fundamental determinants of intelligence are primarily located in the data or in the algorithm. So, on the one hand, what you might have is a very simple algorithm, but very complex data. And so advocates of what's often referred to as the empiricist view that we can learn really just need a simple algorithm and we need to scale it big. But there's a lot of stuff already there in the data.
