The Importance of Casual Magic

I was a little bewildered by it because it sort of meandered around and clearly had a place that it was headed which are not two things that I'm used to being combined. Sophie does seem to have magical powers that she doesn't realize she has at first but they all get revealed in the end. It took me the second time I read it or third to really see what was happening with this book. A lot is motivated by I don't know Miyazaki's unconscious mind that's hard to understand in one way.
