The Importance of Cycling for Kids
CNN's Kelly Wallace says her kids ride bikes, but she doesn't count it as exercise. Her son was riding a two-wheeler when he was two and his daughter is now three. They cycle after they eat their dinner, which would be the equivalent to lots of walking for the day in many countries. But again, bone density is almost more important than weight gain or body mass index (BMI) "You can't really bank exercise," Wallace says.
