And one individual that i don't think gets enough of a bad press is charles trevellyan. He believed that the famine was as he described it, a visitation from the almighty. In other words, it was a kind of a godsend. It was a way of reorganizing our society. So if god did something for you, you should not meddle too much. You should not try to interfere with divine action.
