The Disaster of the Palm Island Project
Dubai's Palm Island project was supposed to be a 300 island recreation of the world map. Nearly as soon as they began, tragedy struck on September 11, 2001. Even after almost $15 billion had been spent, only one Palm Island was complete. With a failure, this huge developers were forced to deny rumors that the world islands were sinking back into the ocean. Some say this isn't simply playing nature, but it's truly damaging it for profit.
