It's a stupid horror movie but it teeters on like something more interesting the core conceit of it which I'll talk about a little spoilers is really interesting. It totally undercuts itself by going for horror tropes instead of like sticking with itself and being a little bit bold. Horror movies that the whole movie is no one believes the hysterical women are fucking exhausting. That's annoying. And in a period piece especially when you're like okay that's what it was like at the time.
