Abseil: How do you think about hypothesis driven science in an era where there's abundance now in the data that you're able to generate? Abseil: I imagine a similar thing might start to happen in drug discovery, right? Where the model just starts to get so good that you're just like, okay, the model says go test this. Anybody just do it. You don't even think twice because you just become second nature to trust this thing. It could really change the game of how we do science here," he said. Drug development is an extremely expensive endeavor, in large part because of the 96% failure rate of clinical drug trials. However, the new frontier of medicine has arrived, and Sean McClain and Joshua Meier (respectively the Founder/CEO and Chief Artificial Intelligence (AI) Officer of Absci) are leading the charge.
