Once he committed his first murder on Wilmer McCann, Sutcliffe said he became completely unhinged and felt nothing but hatred for sex workers. His intention was to hunt down as many as he could and get rid of them. He recounted how he had come face to face with Maureen Long only a few weeks prior to his arrest.
