The Origin Myth of Rome
The Roman origin myth creates this impression of law and order. We are built out of order. This was supposed to happen. This was ordained. And so it's like the idea is that the laws of the Romans are noble. They have held up very well to their credit. I mean, our law is based on Roman law. The first appearances of the Romulus and Remus story look like they're quite a bit after the Cain and Abel story. It does sound a little bit like that.
