Is There a Link Between Animals and Abuse?

There's a practical link in that those who, if abuses occur in a family between two adults, and there's a companion animal in the family, chances are that the animal is involved in the abuse somehow. So they can be used in the sex abuse of women as well by abusers. I mean, it's all these mechanisms of power. This isn't the message of the guilty feminist. Sometimes you just think, we're the scourge of the earth. We're not doing anything good for this planet. Why do we think we're so amazing? We need to be saved. And are we doing the right thing by allowing climate change to wipe us out?
