We are constantly both being watched but also nudged by these machines in our pockets that bleep and burp and fart at us. And you do end up with something that sounds like it's a grotesque parody of Bentham's utilitarianism. That there are dangers in economic calculus that we miss out on things that aren't so easily quantified.
