When we're running one of these analyses, even if the CPU is full, we're not using more than a few thousand at a time. The pipeline that I work on can analyze all of the data in about six seconds or so as it's coming in. So we can pretty rapidly identify when there is a candidate gravitational wave. But overall, we still are able to make those statements pretty fast.
