The Importance of Predicting Evolution

Computer simulations of biological evolution aren't very good, but they're not complete rubbish. I don't know what it would take to make an analogue of biological evolution on a computer. My guess is that people will do it and it will be relatively simple once someone has had the idea of what biology does. There are various apparently indicative things in biology of the same biological structure occurring in evolutionarily very distant organisms.
