The Glory of Jesus
There's a second contrast in this passage that you read that I think also is significant. If what was being brought to an end came with glory much more, well, what is permanent have glory. And there the references Moses and the glory that he bears from having seen God. Then on the other hand, there's what does not fade away, what does not prove to be only good for a season but it has everlasting and even eternal significance. Jesus can only ultimately be like into Melchizedek, who's without beginning or end.
