The Difference Between Drop in and Come By

Come by would be a longer stop, like staying with the person longer. Drop in is definitely almost like they're just dropping themselves in and then boosting themselves out again. So it will be a similar amount of time that you're going to come by, but it's not announced. Whereas if someone says drop by, you wouldn't. You would be like, nope, I don't need to plan time for that.
