Karma Cemetery and the Fourth Dynasty
Karma cemetery was enormous, it had more than forty thousand burials spanning a full millennium. The only possible conclusion to draw here is that docigel and karma were at the heart of an extensive and presumably quite powerful state. It must have extended north toward egypt, east and west, into the deserts and then further up stream along the nile, past the neighboring cataracts.
