quantum computing or at least in physics, we think of computations. What we mean is some kind of function or permutation or transformation more generally of a bunch of input states in a bunch of output states. And the additional thing that we want for this to be a computation acting on information degrees of freedom is that the input states are all somehow distinguishable from one another. But what I'm just to answer your question says something very specific once you have decided that this is your notion of computation.
