The Assassin's Umbrella
In 2004, a Ukrainian presidential candidate named Viktor Yostchenko was poisoned during a dinner while he was on the campaign trail. The poison in his food turned out to be a dioxin called TCDD, which was also the most potent compound found in the famous Agent Orange Defoliant used during the Vietnam War. He survived the poisoning and just one week later, against his doctor's orders, he was back on thecampaign trail.
