The Pre-Socratic Philosophy

Most of what the earliest philosophers like Theles actually wrote is lost to us, and we rely heavily on later accounts from later in the classical and late-ante periods. We can say with some confidence that the earliest sturrings of what we're calling the philosophic approach seem to have been in the Ionian, Greek city-states in the early sixth century. This brings us to another bit of terminology, pre-socratic philosophy, which is the subject of this particular episode.
