Care and Disability in the Social Model of Disability
In her scholarship, Camilia Karl picks up on this critique of the idea or of article 12 being interpreted in this non interventionist sort of way. And if this sort of concept of autonomy is actually something that is worthy of protection and sort of draw out that it's not actually neutral. This relates, I think, to the next part of the book, perhaps overlaps you could say, so the next sort of binary is that of care and disability, you position those. That's really interesting sort of contrast because it's not how the sort of legal framework necessarily is assumed to position care and disability in binaries.
