The Importance of TypeScript

The reason why TypeScript got very popular is because Microsoft is actually good at doing those types of things. The tooling is just insane and the level to details is amazing. It started almost as a joke. Now it's a vast ecosystem with an insanely high number of heterogeneous targets starting from browsers ending up with dedicated run times, the run lambdas and half of the infrastructure of the world. I'm not going to argue if that's right or wrong. That's beyond me to argue. But it's the world we have. It's how we resolve. It's the point we deserve. We're trying to make it slightly better. So that's the goal.
