Is Social Media the Root Cause of Incivility in This Country?
Sunshine hiligus is co director of a polarization lab. She says that social media can contribute to polarization in the U.S. A recent study found there was no effect from exposing twitter users to bots of the opposite political persuasion. Sunshine: The vast majority of people have existing attitudes, beliefs, predispositions and that shapes who they exposed themselves to.
