The field has been maturing quite a bit, and we've got libraries like yours that are able to aid researchers and practitioners. I think as these tools become more and more established, it'll be just a core part of the scientific toolkit that new scientists have to learn. One of the areas I'm most interested in right now as a researcher is the application of deep learning to solving partial differential equations.
