Saladin returns to Syria the next spring. He learns that Egypt is not really a good place to launch a campaign from. The two sides eventually decide on a new truce in 1180. But other events in the Muslim world shake things up once again. And at the end of 1181, Asaleid dies in Aleppo and this completely upsets the dynamics of the region.
