Ozambic has been available since 2017, but the drugs adoption by the rich and famous has granted it a certain prestige akin to an oversubscribed wellness retreat or limited edition designer handbag. Studies show that once patients see seasies in semaglutide within a year, they regain most of the weight they'd lost while taking the drug. Ozambic may help people lose weight, but they'll remain at risk of diet-related illness as long as they continue to eat predominantly nutrient-poor, ultra-processed foods where over 50% of the UK's calories come from.
