One of the big justifications training oneself as a psychiatrist was to deal with suicidal patients. According to epidemi logical data, about five per cent of people will make some kind of suicide attempt or gesture in teir lifetime. And so what shall we draw from this? Or is there such a thing as suicide prevention? Well, i reviewe the literature quite thoroughly, and a lot of people talk about it, but they'e really come to misleading conclusions.
