Do You Want to Be an Employee?
The companies that you want to work for, they're going to be hiring people for a skill second. So I think if it's a 50-50 either way, I would go employee as the first couple gigs. You'll have lots of opportunities from there that you'll be able to build towards. If you are that employee, or if you want to aim for that full-time employment, expect to pay higher in my experience. It's more of an aim for where can we take this engineer and how can we help them grow?
