Sally Kohn: I was making 375 an hour McDonald's and working a daily overnight. She says she decided to drop out of high school, get her G.D. on purpose so that she could go to college two years earlier. Kohn became press secretary of the mayor in New York by the time she was 26. "The burn the boats hit me and that's how I'm using it in the book," writes Kohn.
