The Future Is Plastics, the Future Is the Internal Combustion Engine

For at least the next decade, and possibly beyond, there will be rising demand globally for oil. In transportation, passenger vehicles, trucking, aviation, shipping, there is as yet no mass scale alternative to liquid fuels. We haven't even got on yet to consume a good petrochemicals. The future is plastics because people in India are getting richer. Higher disposal incomes, they're buying stuff. That demand is a big cornerstone of the need for more oil over the next decade or so.
