What Could Happen With UBI?
I think that the US can kick the can down the road for many years, mostly due to the network effects as long as it doesn't go haywire on its spending. But one of the things that could unleash massive inflation and there is political will to get it done is UBI because we already had the test run during the pandemic. And then you can never come back from that sort of deficit spending. We don't know and we do have a preview with the pandemic and what happened and the subsequent inflation. It's not this monetary stimulus that takes time and wealth effects and stock market pumps and all that kind of stuff. It goes right into checking accounts and it starts to hit
