The Arasiba Telescope

It's unclear what will happen to arasiba. Some plans for rebuilding the telescope have been floated, but they might just be pie in sky. But remember that message that astronomers beamed out into space back in 19 74? They aimed it at a star cluster called m 13 - 25 thousand light years away. The physical telescope may be gone, but years from now, if and when that message ever reaches that far away star cluster, one of the first traces of human life that an extraterrestrial could witness is a picture of the telescope itself.
